CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS
Chiropractic adjustments are a quick and safe way to create rapid structural and functional change in the body . They are used on restricted joints and can be applied to any joint in the body - in the spine, arms, or legs. Adjustments are a quick, safe, painless, and effective way to introduce normal motion into a restricted joint to ultimately reduce pain, improve muscle tension and balance movement patterns.
Dr. Jen has trained extensively to be able to provide care using a variety of chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Activator, Applied Kinesiology and P-DTR. She is thus able to create care plans individualized to you and your unique needs.
SOFT TISSUE THERAPIES
Soft tissue therapies are used to address muscular and connective tissue dysfunctions to enhance the effects of adjustments. Muscles move joints, and every single muscle and joint is connected by a thin layer of connective tissue, called fascia. With soft-tissue techniques including Active Release Therapy (ART), cross-friction massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) we can effectively ensure that the structures around your joints are supporting proper motion.
FUNCTIONAL TAPING
Therapeutic taping can be used to help reduce pain and inflammation, promote post-surgical healing, optimize performance, prevent injury and promote good circulation and can assist the body’s natural healing process. It facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. Taping can also be used to assist in creating stability and activating muscles to re-train the body to new movement patterns and postures.
